Fast, Easy and Innovative Tools
Collecting and assessing accurate and reliable geographic, linguistic and sociocultural information is only part of what makes our Human Geography solutions so valuable. Being able to access the information, visualize it in geographic context, and use it for analysis is just as critical. Geographic Services, Inc. (GSI) has developed several proprietary tools to help users at any level expedite and enhance their analysis of our data.
DataFlex
DataFlex (patented) is our proprietary, phonetic-based, multilingual geographic search engine. Valuable data displayed as an overlay on cartographic and satellite images can be quickly and easily accessed through DataFlex by users in the field.
DataFlex utilizes “fuzzy” searching as well as phonetic and linguistic principles. Searching takes into account phonetic similarities, misspellings and reverse generics. Along with its phonetic search capability, DataFlex can isolate generic terms used in the search criteria and associate these across regional languages and dialects. Users can limit search criteria by geographic location or feature type.
